Hockey Canada will be conducting workshops with constituents from across Canada to further discuss the Open Ice recommendations. The goal of these workshops will be to create a discussion paper that will seek a CHA position on how best to implement each of the Summit's 11 recommendations.

This discussion paper will be finalized at the Hockey Canada Fall Board Meeting on November 12 to 14, following which the Hockey Canadawill seek input and advice from a wide range of interested individuals both within and outside the CHA.

The Hockey Canada will assess the feedback received and then will prepare a draft position paper on each of the recommendations. These position papers, which will be finalized at the Semi-Annual Meeting on February 5 to 7, 2000, will outline how the recommendations will be implemented at all levels of hockey in Canada through the active participation of all hockey partners. The final versions of these papers will then be given wide distribution within the Hockey Canada and to other stakeholders.
